Snow Day or No Snow Day? That is the Question in Manassas

Find out the decision made by Manassas City Public Schools and its counterparts in Manassas Park and Prince William County.

Manassas City Public Schools are closed Monday, Dec. 9 because of the weather. 
The school's administrative offices will also be closed, a spokeswoman for the schools said. All school activities are also canceled. 

Prince William County Public Schools
and Manassas Park City Schools are also closed. 
PRTC is operating at normal. The agency said on its page that if no news is posted on its website, then that means systems are operating as normal. View the page here

Virginia Railway Express (VRE)
 is operating as normal, Monday, Dec. 9
City of Manassas employees can take liberal leave, Monday, Dec. 9

District of Columbia Government will operate on a two-hour delay. 

Federal Agencies will operate on a two-hour delay with the option of unscheduled leave and telework. 

Senior Centers in Manassas and Woodbridge are closed.  

The Adult Day Healthcare at Woodbridge is closed. 

The Bluebird Tour Program in Prince William County is canceled. 

Fairfax County Public Schools and School Age Child Care will be closed, Monday, Dec. 9 school officials announced on the FCPS website at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Administrative offices will open at noon. 

Fairfax County Government offices will be open Monday, Dec. 9, however employees have been granted unscheduled leave. Emergency service personnel should report as scheduled.

Fairfax County Circuit Court, District Court and Juvenile Relations are all closed Monday, Dec. 9. 

Fairfax County Park Authority events and classes area canceled, but the facilities will remain open. Get park authority updates here.

Sunday's weather included a heavy coat of snow, followed by sleet and rain, making roads dangerous for the Monday morning commute.
