OHS Football Postponed Due to Rain

Eagles try to recover from 0-2 start against Bruins; Friday night game postponed until Saturday.

The Eagles (0-2) were set to play host to the Bruins (0-2) of Forest Park High School this Friday at 7:30 pm, but due to the wet weather, the game has been postponed until Saturday at 4 p.m.

Osbourn finds itself with an unfamiliar 0-2 record under Head Coach Steve Schultze. Although this is not an ideal position to be in, it is one that can be salvaged. In the 2008 season, the Eagles started off 1-3, only to win 8 of their next 10 games and advance to the state championship game.

Last year Osbourn opened the season against Forest Park and won 56-32. It was this victory that started the Eagles on a 12-game win streak that was stopped short in the state semi-finals by Stone Bridge High School.

The Bruins have also struggled to gain momentum this year. They suffered a season-opening overtime loss to Stonewall Jackson High School 14-20 and fell to Colonial Forge High School 21-35 last week.

The Eagles look to capitalize on the slow start of the Bruins and get the season going in the right direction with a win.
