Team of 7-year-olds Clinches Youth Sport Tournament

The Manassas BATtle baseball team traveled to the Richmond area this weekend and returned to the home city the winners of the Varina Youth Sports Invitational Tournament.

The team of 7-year-olds went undefeated during the entire tournament, held in Varina, Va. located just outside of Richmond, Thomas Hessel, a Manassas BATtle team supervisor said.

"Their first win of the tournament came against New Kent, with a 3-0 shutout in which the BATtle defense held New Kent to just two hits," he said.  "They followed that win with a dramatic come from behind win against the Varina All-Stars."
