February 2012 Real Estate Market Update
Year over year, February was a good month for real estate; Manassas City showed the biggest increase of sold volume at 70.9%.
Year over year, February was a good month for real estate. Manassas City showed the biggest increase of sold volume at 70.9%. Prince William County saw an 18.8 increase and Manassas Park saw a 26.3 increase.
Prince William County, Manassas City and Manassas Park all showed an increase in the number of properties sold in February 2012 over what sold inFebruary 2011. Just another sign that the real estate market is starting to recover cosidering there is extremely low inventory.
In February there was only 1,224 home for sale. This is a 4 percent over the amount of homes for sale in January. In my January Real Estate Market Update, I reported there was 1,174 homes for sale and 427 that had sold.

January's average sold price for the entire county was $277,980 this is an increase of 3 percent for the same time last year.
