Mike O'Meara's 'Ride For The House Poker Run' to Benefit Fisher House Charity.

Do you own a motorcycle? How about a Moped? Is your dirt bike street-legal? Is your scooter more powerful than the one Harry and Lloyd rode on in the movie 'Dumb & Dumber'?

If so, you could win tickets to see legendary rock band Def Leopard plus more prizes at Mike O'Meara's Ride For The House Poker Run this Saturday, June 11th from 8am-1pm.

All proceeds collected will go to the Fisher House Foundation, a wounded warrior charity organization that provides housing and resources for families of wounded veterans.

This year's event is sponsored by Patriot Harley and 105.9 The Edge and will take bikers on a leisurely ride to three destinations, picking up playing cards to form their best poker hand. Here's how it works:

Everyone meets at Patriot Harley in Fairfax at 8 a.m. this Saturday for registration; don't worry about eating breakfast before you arrive because Cinnabon has you covered for free.

Twenty dollars gets you a "hand" in the event, you can buy as many as you want. Riders will then travel to Chrysler Jeep & Dodge in Manassas, then to nearby , ending up along the Occoquan River at Water's Edge for a complimentary lunch and prize giveaway.

At each stop, every rider will receive a playing card, the rider with the best poker hand upon reaching Water's Edge will win two tickets to see Def Leopard plus VIP Parking at Jiffy Lube Live on July 9th.

Additional prizes and a gift certificate will be given out by Patriot Harley and The Edge will be on hand passing out plenty of goodies including t-shirts, coozies, key chains and bumper stickers.

O'Meara's custom painted red sparkle/gray flame 2005 "Fatboy" Patriot Harley will be leading the pack!

What led Mike to Fisher House?

"I wanted to pursue a veteran's charity because I felt the veteran's were being overlooked; I did some research online and was really happy about the respect people had for Fisher House.," he said.

"I really liked their concept: Houses that were going to allow families, loved ones, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers to be close to their sons and daughters, while they were getting treatment really struck a chord with me."

O'Meara has over 20 years of radio talk-show experience in the DC Metro area and has been labeled as a local "Radio God." His passion for raising money for Fisher House was the first thing he brought up when landing his newest gig with 105.9 The Edge.

"They first asked me what I wanted to do;  I said I wanted to do another ride for Fisher House. This is my big thing for the year, this ride means a lot to me."

Even if you don't own a bike you can still attend the festivities at Water's Edge and make personal donations towards Fisher House.
