Though St. Patrick’s Day Weekend is normally a weekend of hitting the pubs and parades, there is a large group of veterans that showed why they are American Heroes.
The Chesty Puller Chapter of the Leatherneck Nation MC, along with the Guilty Ones MC hosted the St. Patty’s Day Bash for the Wounded Warrior Project at raising over $5,500. The Chesty Puller Chapter of the Leatherneck Nation MC, a motorcycle organization made entirely of US Marines, did what all US Marines do; they help the weak by going above and beyond, including on holidays.
St Patrick’s Day 2012 was a day of celebrating and thanking those who give us the freedoms that many American’s neglect. The Leatherneck Nation MC, The Guilty Ones MC, local MCs and local groups and veterans filled Hard Times Café & Cue in Manassas to support the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Wounded Warrior Project helps thousands of wounded warriors returning home from the current conflicts and to provide assistance to their families. The night consisted of a great local band, “Cheap Date”, guest appearances from Miss DC 2012, Sarah Hillware, America’s Miss 2011, Shaina Millan, Combat HUMVEES were also on display donated by the American Wartime Museum and the Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles. The raffles consisted of items donated by local businesses such as Coleman Power Sports of Woodbridge, Patriot Harley Davidson, Starbuck’s, AMC Theaters, and MANY more.
The Leatherneck Nation MC, the Guilty Ones MC and Hard Times Cafe Manassas would like to thank the sponsors: Coleman Power Sports of Woodbridge, Patriot Harley Davidson, CrossFit XTC Manassas, Holiday Inn Battlefield, Son’s Cycle in Sterling, Devil Tail Designs, and all of the supporters that came out for such great causes.
We would especially like to thank those brave Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers and their families who have given their all for us. Being a Veteran does not change that “giving attitude” and the Marines of the VA Leatherneck Nation MC, Veterans and members of the Guilty Ones MC have proven that this weekend. "Semper Fidelis", the Marine Corps motto meaning "Always Faithful" is more than fitting and constantly proven true.
