Manassas Holds "National Night Out"

Residents interacted with first responders in community event.

Manassas residents interacted with some local first responders and learned about community safety Tuesday night at the city’s annual “National Night Out.”

The event, sponsored by the Manassas City Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch, let community members get up close and personal with police, fire, and rescue workers, all while enjoying some free food and entertainment on the Manassas Museum lawn.

Attendees were also treated to a demonstration of “towne ball,” a forerunner of baseball, from the Potter Baseball Little League team.
