Prince William County Nonprofit to Provide Thanksgiving Meal at Nursing Home

New from the Brown Foundation.

 The Brown Foundation of  Northern Virginia, headquartered in Stafford County and Nokesville, will sponsor Thanksgiving dinner LaDrey High Rise Senior Living Building on Thursday from 12-6:00 p.m.

Dr. Lewis R. Brown, the CEO, founder and director of the Brown Foundation,  said the response to the sponsorship was quiet favorable, extremely gracious and filled with love.  

The Brown Foundation and the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority solidity plans for the event in October, Brown said.

The menu for the event is:

  •  Baked Macaroni and Cheese
  •  Cajun injected Turkey served with New Orleans style dressing sage and giblets
  •  Mashed potatoes with New Orleans styled beef-gravy
  •   Oyster and corn-meal dressing
  •  Baton Rouge-styled stewed chicken served with rice and gravy
  • New Orleans-styled dirty rice
  • Mustard Greens served with hamhocks and neckbones
  • Cabbage and Corn Beef
  •  Hot dinner rolls
  •  Quadruple-layered German chocolate covered cake
  •  Homemade pumpkin and pecan pies

 This event is open to all who are hungry and simply could not afford a Thanksgiving dinner.
