Free Ghost Tour. Besides candy, "free" and "ghost" are the most appealing words to a teen on Halloween. You can probably get all three at the Manassas Park Community Center tonight, the sight of the Free Ghost Tour, presented by Evermore Paranormal of Manassas Park. Evermore Paranormal has documentation of ghosts on the property. Cameras and voice recorders are not required, but you are welcome to bring them.
Trunk-or-Treat. Also in Manassas Park is the annual Trunk or Treat event. Volunteers pass candy to children from the trunks of their cars this evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Manassas Park Community Center at 99 Adams St.
The Fall Gallery Walk is Friday in Old Town Manassas. Follow the balloons to different old town merchants who will host receptions featuring local artists.
Holiday Market. The ghostly spirits are behind us. Next stop: holiday spirits. The Holiday Marketplace includes holiday decorations, jewelry, art, crafts and a silent auction. See and Hear. The Manassas Symphony Orchestra begins its 21st season with a unique collaboration with Manassas area schools. “Arts for Everyone” includes performances paired with visual artwork from students, along with a finale performed with the Osbourn High School Concert Choir. $20 (discounts for seniors, teachers), free admission for children. 7:30 p.m. Friday. Vampires in November. The main man of the Halloween season has not left the building…yet. Living History. The Civil War returns to Chantilly this weekend with Living History Day: Civil War at Walney. Night After Night. There’s a little more spook left in 2013, which means an extra helping of cabaret at the Workhouse Arts Center. A Haunted Cabaret: The Music of Nevermore and More continues with performances Thursday and Friday. That will be followed with shows Saturday and Sunday of Broadway Biography — Based on a True Story, with Broadway songs based on actual events. Prices and times vary. Thru Sunday.
