Manassas Civil War Weekend, Prescott House Open House and Summer Ice Skating

Plus, free admission to Prince William National Park.

Manassas Civil War Weekend 
The civil war commemoration this weekend offers several educational and fun events about life in the South more than 150 years ago.  For starters, there is a special tour of the Manassas Cemetery on Friday at 8 p.m. Then on Saturday at 10 a.m., there is a Civil War Parade in Old Town Manassas, followed by a Civil War-era baseball demonstration from 11 to 4 p.m. at Osbourn High School.
On Sunday at 9 a.m., there's an interfaith service on the Manassas Museum lawn followed by an ice cream social in the Harris Pavilion at 3 p.m. For more information visit manassascivilwar.org

Prescott House Open House Event in Manassas 
A group of Manassas neighbors who saved the century-old house at 9300 Prescott Drive from certain destruction earlier this year, are allowing curious eyeballs inside the home on Saturday to see the renovation progress. From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and for a $5 door donation to Habitat for Humanity of Prince William County, Manassas and manassas Park can take a look around the home. 

Toby Keith brings his Ford Tough tour to the Jiffy Lube LIve amphitheater this weekend. Keith will soon open his Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill in Woodbridge. For now, fans will have to settle for seeing him on stage. Keith is joined by opening act Kip Moore. Showtime is 7 p.m. Saturday, 7800 Cellar Door Drive. More info.

Free admission Sunday at Prince William National Park. "America's great outdoors should be experienced by everyone," said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. The deal is in recognition of the National Park Service's 96th anniversary. The fee waiver does not cover expanded amenities. More info.

Fall fashions and a meal in Occoquan. Details Boutique is hosting a show of its fall fashion line, with a lunch overlooking the river. Event begins at noon Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online. More info.
