Both of my children have attended Alpha-Bet, and we love the school. The co-oping is wonderful, and I like being in the classroom. There is ample opportunity for parents to get involved. Cheryl, the director, is very helpful, and the teachers are extremely well-qualified. Great school all around, and I would highly recommend it.

Alpha Bet School was established in 1967 by a group of co-op members. Today, the non-denominational, cooperative, not-for-profit preschool continues to allow parents to be involved in their child's education. The schoool's staff consists of experienced teachers and parents, who assist in establishing and meeting desired learning goals throughout the school year. Parent involvement also allows the tuition to be kept low. In 1993, Alpha Bet became licensed through the state of Virginia.

My children are now in their 20s and both attended this preschool. I enjoyed taking an active role in the school and helping out in the classroom. I am still in contact with other parents, teachers and children from that time. It is an important bonding experience. Always choose parent cooperatives first, if you can!
