Spring Housing Event for Homeowners

Homeowners will be able to meet directly with a representative from their bank to learn more about various programs that can help them with concerns regarding their mortgage.

Manassas is holding its second annual housing fair this weekend. The 2012 Spring Housing Event is happening May 19 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Osbourn High School.  The purpose of the event is to provide the opportunity for homeowners to meet directly with a representative from their bank to learn about the various programs that can help them with concerns about your mortgage, according to information about the event posted on the city's website.  "Whether your mortgage is behind, you are concerned that you can no longer pay your mortgage, or you have questions about the current value of your house, representatives from the following bank will be available and ready to meet with you to answer any questions you may have," reads the post.  …

BofA, Wells Fargo, Others Meet with Homeowners

Homeowners were able to speak directly to certified housing counselors and representatives from Bank of American, Wells Fargo, and others during the City of Manassas Housing Event Saturday.

Nearly 100 people stopped by Osbourn High School in Manassas Saturday  for the opportunity to speak directly to certified housing counselors and representatives from Bank of American, Wells Fargo, and others about their mortgages, during the City of Manassas Housing Event. Certified housing counselors in the Manassas area were present to speak with homeowners who may be facing foreclosure. The Manassas and Prince Wiliam County areas have been identified as target areas with a large amont of mortgage scams during the foreclosure crisis. Attendees also participated in six one-hour interactive presentations about recognizing mortgage scams, preventing foreclosure and the legal aspects of foreclosure.  Some of the seminars included information…
