The Prince William County Police Department needs help in finding the vehicle reportedly involved in a fatal hit and run on Oct. 23, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. The hit and run reportedly happened on Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim of an Oct. 23 shooting at Marumsco Plaza ran across Bayside Avenue and was struck by an unknown vehicle, Perok reported. "The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival," Perok said. "The driver of the vehicle in the hit and run was not involved in the shooting. The victim was flown to an area hospital with life threatening injuries sustained after being hit by the vehicle. On Monday, Nov. 5, the victim died from injuries sustained during the hit and run." …

Police are investigating after a 19-year-old Manassas man was allegedly run down by a suspect.
Police in Prince William County are looking for a suspect and a vehicle allegedly used to run down a 19-year-old Manassas. Prince William County public information officer Jonathan Perok said officers responded to the area of Spriggs and Hoadly roads on Saturday at 2:54 a.m. They were informed that the victim, a 19-year-old Manassas man, and a known acquaintance had been involved in a physical altercation with an unknown suspect in the above area. The suspect returned to his vehicle during the encounter and allegedly struck the victim as he and his acquaintance attempted to run from the suspect. The victim of a violent robbery in Georgetown South Tuesday night suffered a head injury and was flown to a nearby hospital, police said.
Manassas City Police is investigating a robbery that occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Georgetown South neighborhood. Officers were summoned to the 9400 block of Taney Road near the Georgetown South Community Center for the report of a with a gun. Upon their arrival, police found an injured man bleeding from his head. The victim told officers a black male subject had robbed him, then pistol whipped him several times. Witnesses stated that they observed a black male assaulting the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks, who was wearing a jacket with black and white horizontal stripes at the time of the incident. Manassas City Police are investigating two hit and run incidents that occurred in the last three days. The first incident occurred on Saturday, October 15, shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the 'Super Market' store, located at 8680 Liberia Avenue, according to police. Witnesses at the scened advised employees they observed the driver of a red Ford station wagon strike two vehicles parked in the parking lot before exiting. The offender was caught on the store’s video surveillance cameras purchasing a bag of charcoal just moments before the incidents occurred.
