Father-Daughter Dance is Friday in Manassas Park

The annual event celebrates the unconditional love between daddies and their little girls.

"The only man a girl can depend on is her daddy," Frenchy said to Sandra D., better known as "Sandy," in the iconic film, "Grease." This quote by the loveable Pink Lady may not always ring true, but it expresses the unconditonal love and trust that is often seen between fathers and daughters. Manassas Park is celebrating that love on Friday with its annual Father-Daughter Dance from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manassas Park Community Center. Young ladies in Kindergarten up to fifth grade can dance with their fathers or any great older man in their life—be it stepfather, brother or uncle. Each young lady will receive a corsage at the dance and refreshments for all will be served. Time is running short, but pre-registration is required for this …

What a wonderful event. We had a father-daughter banquet each year when I was in high school. I can't say for a fact, but many of our Dads got more excited than we did. It's a memory never forgotten. Enjoy.   more ›

The Welcome to Winter Pool Party is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Manassas Park Community Center. The event mixes fun with safety by offering water games such as limbo, water tag and swim races as well as swimming level-evaluations by a swim instructor, community city staff said.
