Post Offices Close Early Christmas Eve, Closed Christmas
Post offices close at noon on Monday.
U.S. Post Offices in Northern Virginia will close at noon on Monday and at noon on New Year's Eve. All post offices will be closed on Christmas Day, according to the U.S. Postal Service. Customers can still purchase stamps and mail letters and packages by using self-service kiosks. There is also the Click-and-Ship option, which allows letters and parcels to be mailed from home, with free pick-up. However, there is no delivery or home pick-up Christmas Day.
