Manassas Gives Over 50 Percent of Vote to Romney
Voter turnout in the city around six percent.
Voters in Manassas City came out to cast their votes for Mitt Romney and Ron Paul in the Virginia Republican presidential primary on Tuesday. Of the city residents who voted in the Super Tuesday primary, 54 percent cast their votes for frontrunner Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, leaving candidate Ron Paul with 46 percent of the vote. Despite a slow start, voter turnout in Manassas was ultimately about 5.7 percent, or 1,185 of 20,665 total voters, according to Virginia State Board of Elections figures.
