Doc Drop: Public Hearings on Multimillion Dollar Road Project
Several items related to the Rollins Ford Road Project are on the agenda for the Board of County Supervisors Tuesday.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will hold public hearings on several issues relating to a road project in the Brentsville District: approval of a $15 million contract, the transfer of millions of dollars from other areas to the project, and quick-take powers for three Nokesville properties. The cost of construction for the Rollins Ford Road Improvement Project is estimated at $20,058,406, which includes money for the contract, contingency funds, construction engineering and inspection, and stream mitigation credits. Multimillion Dollar Transfers To fund the increased cost of the project, the county proposes transferring $7,370,657 from the Minnieville Road Project into the fund for Rollins Ford Road.
