A fundraiser for a program that could save the lives of hundreds of missing people is Thursday in Manassas. Project Lifesaver is a program that uses radio wave-emitting bracelets to track people who are prone to wandering off, such as those with Autism and Alzheimer’s Disease. Prince William County has a Project Lifesaver program, but help and funds are needed to get the program up and running in Manassas Park. That's where Thursday's fundraiser comes in. Christmas happiness rolled in on the wheels of the Virginia Railway Express Santa Trains this weekend. Thousands of people rode the special excursion trains on Saturday, which departed from Fredericksburg and Woodbridge on the Fredericksburg Line and from Burke and Manassas on the Manassas line. Hundreds of families lined the streets of Old Town Manassas near the historic Train Depot to board one of the four trains departing from that station; appropriately named Dancer, Comet, Donder and the North Pole Express, respectively.
