Police: Reward Offered For Help in Fatal Hit and Run Investigation

The Prince William County Police Department needs help in finding the vehicle reportedly involved in a fatal hit and run on Oct. 23, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.  The hit and run reportedly happened on Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim of an Oct. 23 shooting at Marumsco Plaza ran across Bayside Avenue and was struck by an unknown vehicle, Perok reported.   "The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival," Perok said. "The driver of the vehicle in the hit and run was not involved in the shooting. The victim was flown to an area hospital with life threatening injuries sustained after being hit by the vehicle. On Monday, Nov. 5, the victim died from injuries sustained during the hit and run." …

Police: Man Shot While Running From Attackers

The 59-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police in the City of Manassas are looking for three suspects accused of attempting to rob a man while shooting him in the leg as he fled for safety. Police said they were called to investigate a shooting that occurred in the 9200 block of Douglas Street Wednesday around 6:30 a.m. The victim told officers that he was sitting in his vehicle after leaving a friend’s house, when three males—one with a silver handgun—walked up to the car and demanded money from him. The victim told officers the men then forced him out of his vehicle after he refused their demands. The suspect is believed responsible for a shooting on George Street back on March 19, during an apparent drug deal gone wrong.

Police in Manassas have released a sketch of a man believed responsible for a shooting on George Street back on March 19, during an apparent drug deal gone wrong. Police said the victim sustained injuries to his upper arm area as a result of the shooting. A Manassas City Police Officer was patrolling the area of Prince William Hospital shortly before 8 p.m. on the same date, when the victim walked up to him and advised that he had been shot. Two Dead in Virginia Tech Shooting

The gunman suspected of fatally shooting a Virginia Tech police officer on the college campus Thursday is dead, according to media reports.
