Special teams ignites Osbourn to crushing victory
Osbourn (3-2) extended its win streak yet again on Monday night as they defeated cross-town rivals Osbourn Park (1-3), 42-7. The Eagles turned to their leaders on offense as senior running back Cedrick Delaney led the rushing attack with 123 yards and a touchdown. Junior quarterback Connor Lane went 4-11 for 55 yards and a touchdown through the air, and also contributed 54 yards and a touchdown on nine rushes. For the third consecutive week, the Eagles offense posted 40 or more points in a game. The offense put together an impressive first possession drive for a touchdown, but it was the special teams’ play that propelled the Eagles to a 21-0 first quarter lead.
