Investigators with a multi-jurisdictional task force searched a home in Yorkshire and found several illegal and prescription narcotics. The search warrant was executed back in January, but police didn't publicize it, because they didn't want to hinder the investigation into morphine and marijuana distribution in the area, according to a Prince William Police Department release. On Jan. 22, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force discovered marijuana and psilocybin inside a home on the 7800 block of Rugby Road and arrested two people. Prince William County investigators said the abuse happened in the Yorkshire neighborhood.
An 8-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl were sexually assaulted by a man in their home in the Manassas Park area, Prince William County Police investigators said. Olman Onan Reyes-Bonilla, 18, is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, Prince William County Police reports show. Officers from the county's special victim's bureau began investigating the case earlier this week. The suspect is accused of sexually assaulting the two girls in a home in Yorkshire, not far from Manassas Park. Bond and court date information wasn't available. Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., of Fairfax, was charged with DUI after a passenger in his vehicle, Roland Donald Reynolds Jr., of Manassas, died.
A Fairfax man faces charges after a passenger in his vehicle died as the result of a single-car crash Thursday, Prince William County Police said. Jeffrey Scott Davis Jr., 23, of Englishwood Lane in Fairfax, was charged with driving under the influence and held without bond. Police said that Davis was speeding westbound on Yorkshire Lane in the Yorkshire area, when his Chevy S-10 left the roadway, crossed into a ditch and rolled over. The front seat passenger, Roland Donald Reynolds, Jr., 25, of Manassas, was not wearing his seat belt. He was thrown from the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and died at a local hospital. Someone stole a $300 dirt bike from a home just outside of Manassas Park.
A Yorkshire homeowner told police someone burglarized his home, taking a $300 dirt bike, Prince William County Police reports show. The victim said the bike disappeared from the Pinehurst Lane home just outside of Manassas Park sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 7 and 1 p.m. Sunday. There are no signs of forced entry at the home, but it appears the thieves entered an unlocked attached shed, police said. No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Prince William County Police.

A 28-year-old Yorkshire man was arrested Tuesday after police said he assaulted a young acquaintance of his. Roger Mauricio Rubio Mejia of the 8300 block of Brown Lane in the Yorkshire area of Manassas is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of abduction and one count of object sexual penetration, according to Prince William County Police reports. Investigators said the the victim is an 11-year-old girl. Mejia is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center in Manassas. A court date hasn't been set. The Prince William County Department of Public Works will sponsor a community cleanup in the Yorkshire/Loch Lomond area on Sat., June 16, 2012, from 8 a.m. to noon. Dumpster containers will be placed at Yorkshire Elementary School for the disposal of trash and debris that is too large for collection by refuse haulers, according to a press release issued by the county. Volunteers are needed to assist in the event, which will provide families and groups in the community the opportunity to clean out yards, homes, streets, common areas, parks and streams in the area. The Yorkshire businesses that were ravaged by a fire that injured two and snarled traffic on Centreville Road twice on Friday, are still open and serving customers, the owners told Insidenova this week. The building that houses Byrd's Tractor and A-1 Glass on Centreville Road near the Fairfax County line caught fire Friday morning, apparently after an oil tank explosion. Prince William County officials haven't yet determined the cause of the fire. The fire ignited a second time Friday evening, causing traffic mayhem again on Centreville Road several hours after the initial blaze, Prince William County Fire Capt. Tom Pearson said on Saturday. Police arrested Elvin Yobex Guzman Lopez, 21, of no known address, Sunday and charged him with first degree murder after he allegedly fatally stabbed Edwin Noe Enamorado Matute, 22, of the 7600 block of Somerset lane. Police said an investigation has revealed that the two men knew each other and were seen arguing in the area of Parkside Street and Old Centreville Road in the Yorkshire area of Prince William County before Lopez allegedly jumped on Matute, stabbing him several times.
