Police: Group Attacked Man in Georgetown South
Manassas City Police say the victim of an attempted robbery in Georgetown South Tuesday evening is an ice cream cart vendor and he was taken to Prince William Hospital.
Manassas City Police say the victim of an attempted robbery in Georgetown South Tuesday evening was taken to Prince William Hospital. According to Sergeant Eddie Rivera, the victim, an ice cream cart vendor, sustained injuries to his left eye, nose and elbow after being assaulted by four young black males shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 9300 block of Taney Road. No money was taken and no description of offenders was immediately made available, Rivera said. Check back with Patch for updated information on this story.

Like many of these "ongoing" investigations, this one too is likely to fizzle out without any arrests. The term is practically euphemism for police apathy. Just like the recent incident in Wellington where children got beat up by thugs from Georgetown South, these would be suspects are likely to get away clean. Something should really be done about that whole area.   more ›
