July 4 Events in Manassas, Manassas Park

The Manassas Train Depot, the Harris Pavilion and the Manassas Museum are at the epicenter of the festivities, so plan to park near there, keeping in mind that the city's garage will not be open for parking on July 4.

It starts at 3 p.m. with the opening of several children's rides. Concessions, vendor stands and live entertainment by Nashville singer and songwriter Matt Enik begins at 4 p.m.

An apple pie baking contest is from 4 to 6 p.m. with the winners being announced around 6 p.m. at the Harris Pavilion.

The city's firework display starts at 9:15 p.m. The best spot to view the works is on the Manassas Museum lawn, so blankets and lawn chairs are suggested.

Neighboring Manassas Park has some July 4 plans of its own.
Manassas Park's July 4 fireworks display pops off at 7 p.m. at Signal Hill Park.
The city will provide free shuttles from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. from the Virginia Railway Express lot and city hall to Signal Hill Park.
