4,000 Feet of Copper Cable Stolen from Manassas Park Business

It is the largest copper theft in Manassas Park in three years, Manassas Park Police said.

A construction company in Manassas Park became the scene of one of the largest copper thefts in the city's history earlier this month.

Sometime between 3 p.m. on Oct. 4 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 7 someone entered the property of Lee Construction Company on Euclid Avenue and took 4,366 feet of copper wire from a fenced lot in the rear of the business, Manassas Park Police reports show.

The stolen copper wire is valued at $10,133, making it the largest copper theft since 2010, when $11,000 in copper was stolen, Manassas Park Police spokesman Karen Barton said.
