9 Townhomes Damaged in Bristow Fire

Fifty firefighters needed to contain blaze early Sunday morning, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

Seven residents were displaced after an early-morning fire in Bristow on Sunday, according to the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.

At 3:15 a.m., units were dispatched to the 9200 block of Dawkins Crest Circle. 

"Upon arrival fire and rescue units found heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of a 3-story middle of the row townhome that was spreading quickly to adjacent townhomes," according to fire department spokesperson Kim Hylander.

The incident commander requested a second alarm, and 50 firefighters were needed to extinguish the fire.

In the end, nine townhomes were damaged, four with significant structural damage, according to Hylander. 

No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office, according to Hylander.
