Father, Brother of Late Officer Yung Gather With Others for Tribute

PWC Officer Chris Yung was remembered on the one-year anniversary of his death.

Family members and friends of the late Chris Yung gathered on Dec. 31, the eve of new year and the anniversary of the last day of his life, to remember the Prince William County Police officer.

Yung died one year ago of injuries he suffered when his police motorcycle hit a car that turned in front of him as he was responding to an incident.

The memorial was held in the Super Target parking lot which is near the site of the crash at Piper Lane and Nokesville Road (Rt. 28) in Bristow.

See video of the tribute that's posted with this story.

Co-workers and fellow police officers gathered alongside residents to hear prayers and brief talks about Yung before releasing blue balloons with blinking LED lights into the sky in his memory.
