Firefighter Injured in Two Alarm Blaze in Manassas

Prince William County and Manassas firefighters responded to the blaze Monday afternoon.

One firefighter was injured while fighting a blaze in Manassas on Monday afternoon, Curtis Brodie, battalion chief of the Prince William County Fire and Rescue, said in a Tuesday release.

Firefighters from the county and Manassas City Fire and Rescue arrived at a two-story house on the 10300 block of Navarone Place just before 2 p.m. and found a fire spreading rapidly through the second floor and the attic.

The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, but a second alarm was requested because of the extent of the flames and the weather conditions, firefighters said.
