Firefighters Kick Off 'Fill the Boot' Campaign Monday

Firefighters will be on hand at the intersection of Route 28 and Manassas Drive from Monday through Friday every day next week, and at Jiffy Lube on selected dates.

Prince William County and Manassas Park firefighters will be out in the streets collecting funds for their annual "Fill the Boot" collection to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. 

Firefighters will be on hand at the intersection of Route 28 and Manassas Drive from Monday through Friday every day next week from 3-6:30 p.m., and at Jiffy Lube on several dates. All of the proceeds from the firefighters' collection will go to MDA's regional office in Northern Virginia to benefit local children with neuromuscular diseases. 

Prince William Professional Firefighters Local 2598 and Manassas Park Professional Firefighters Local 2757 will help MDA provide a week-long camp for kids with muscular dystrophy, along with research, equipment and care.

  • Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour, Friday, Aug. 16, 2 p.m.
  • Toby Keith and Kip Moore, Saturday, Aug. 24, 8 p.m.
  • John Mayer and Phillip Phillips, Saturday, Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m.
