Home Burglarized As Gainesville Residents Hid in Bedroom

$1,200 worth of property, including an iPad, a safe and gaming consoles, was reported missing.

A Gainesville home was burglarized early Monday morning as the residents hid inside a bedroom, Prince William County Police said. 

Police responded to the 14300 block of Fowlers Mill Drive at 1:07 a.m. The homeowner told officers that at least one person had entered the home by kicking open a back door. The residents hid in the bedroom and contacted police, but the suspects fled before police arrived. 

$1,200 worth of property, including an iPad, a safe and gaming consoles, was reported missing. Police do not believe the incident was random, and are continuing to investigate.
