Man in Back Seat of Car Snatches Cash From Victim

The suspect was last seen running along Prescott Avenue Tuesday.

As a man sat counting cash in the front seat of a friend's car Tuesday, another man sitting in the back seat grabbed the money and ran, Manassas City Police said. 

Around 12:30 a.m. Manassas City Police responded to the 9200 block of Prescott Avenue, where the victim reported a robbery. He told police that he was counting cash in his friend’s vehicle when the suspect, who was sitting in the back seat, grabbed the money and ran. The suspect was last seen running along Prescott Avenue.

The suspect, who was introduced to the victim as "CJ," is described as a thin, muscular black male with dreadlocks, around 5’-6” to 5’-8” tall and 25-29 years old. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, sneakers and black shorts.
