Phone-Jacking Suspect Asked Woman to Call His Brother Before Taking Phone

The phone call was supposedly to the suspect's brother, police said.

A woman who had her phone stolen was asked by the thief to make a phone call for him before he took off with the phone, Manassas City Police said. 

It happened Oct. 2 at a bus stop on the 9200 block of Lee Avenue in Manassas. where the suspect approached the victim and asked her to call his brother. 
The victim agreed and when the call reached voicemail, handed the phone to the suspect to leave a message, police said. 
That's when the suspect took off with the phone. 
The suspect is described as a black man 5'4" to 5'5" tall with short hair, a slim build and facial hair just below his bottom lip.  He was wearing black pants and a light- blue book bag.
The phone is valued at $300. No description of the phone was available.
