Police Dispatch K-9 After Manassas Area Robbery

The suspect pulled out a gun and demanded that the victim hand over money, according to Prince William County Police.

A Strasburg man was robbed as he was walking in the Manassas area Saturday evening, Prince William County Police said. 

The 24-year-old victim told police that he was walking near Maplewood Drive and McLean Street around 9:09 p.m when an unknown man approached him from behind. The man pulled out a handgun and demanded money, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. 

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled on foot. The victim was not injured during the robbery, but was unable to provide a description of the suspect, according to Perok.
