Shot Fired at Manassas Area Home

Prince William County Police said that no one was injured.

Someone fired a shot at a Manassas area home while the owner was inside, Prince William County Police said.

The homeowner on the 8200 block of Erika Drive reported on Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. that someone had shot at his home the night before. The man told police that he heard a popping noise coming from another part of the home sometime between midnight and 12:30 a.m.

The homeowner checked the home at the time but did not find anything out of place, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. Later on, the homeowner found a hole in the outdoor siding of the home, which police believe was caused by "an unknown projectile," Perok said. Officers were unable to locate the projectile.
